Migrant Ministry Klang
Dear Friends and Pray Partners in Christ!Gong Xi Fatt Chai and a Happy Chinese New Year to all our Chinese Prayer Partners. We like to thank each and everyone of you who have contributed, encouraged, and providing feedback to us. We thank you for your support and really appreciate you standing in the gap to pray for us.We pray that you will continue to join us to bless the Migrants in Malaysia. May the Chinese Lunar Year of the "Dog" brings you barks for Joy and faithfulness in our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen
Here are some prayer items from all of us:
General MMK committee
Brother Andrew will be going to Bali to attend an international consultation on "Ethnics 2006" from 7-11 March 2006. He will be attending a workshop on reaching out to migrants on an urban setting. Pray for his journey mercy.
MMK plans to set-up a fellowship among the Pakistani and Bangladeshis. We have a willing believer student who intends to reach to his community. Please pray for God's timing and favor for the set-up.
Kapar set-up
We thank God that we have 5 new churches willing to take up the challenge to work together with MMK to set up some community services in the area of Kapar. The main purpose to provide free Medicare for the community and migrants with the hope to start a fellowship to reach out to the migrants around the area. The 5 participating churches are:- Gospel Community Church, St Peter Church, Kapar Tamil Methodist Church, Kapar Chinese Church and Sementa Presbyterian Church.
We will set up our first Medicare service every Sunday in the month of May. Pray for everything to go well and smooth
Willing volunteers for the Medicare team from the 5 churches
For sponsors of medical supplies and etc
Pray for God to bring the migrants so that we can start-up a fellowship in Kapar.
Continue to pray for the request for last month
MMK will be organizing the 3rd thanksgiving dinner tentatively on the 1st July 2006 to raise fund for the various ministry
MMK urgently need sponsors of van for various migrant groups
To streamline the availability of van and drivers to assist the Pastors for weekday visitation for all migrant groups
We need more volunteers drivers and helpers
Urgent need of an administrator to help in general work (full time basis)
We are shortage of volunteers to help and serve in the various groups of migrants. Pray for God to provide more volunteers to join us
Nepalese group
Some updates from the Leadership Camp. Praise God! We have about 90 Nepalese and 12 helpers attended. We had 12 different groups that came throughout Malaysia for this camp. (Outside Klang area)
We want to thank God for His miracle in bringing the 2 invited speakers safely here and the fruitfulness of the Leadership Camp training.
A study on Servanthood Leadership and New Testament (NT) Survey was conducted by Pastor Narayan Sharma and Dr Val Inchley. The camp went well and most of the new converts were able to memorize the NT in a chronological way.
We thank God too that as a result from the Camp, has stirred up some Nepalese who desire to draw closer to God by attending bible school and serve full time when they go back to Nepal. Pray for God's leading and guidance for them
Pray for the availability of a permanent pastor as Pastor Kumar's visa will be expiring in March and Pastor Pasang is still having difficulties in his visa to return to Malaysia. Pray for God's favor and God's clear plan.
We want to thank God for both the invited speakers as they sacrifice their time to come and also the Malaysia volunteers to make it possible for the success of the Camp
Telugu group
Thank God for Pastor Rajoo who has been visiting new Telugu groups in various areas.
On 1st Feb. the group went for a picnic / sharing time to Morib. There are many 'seekers' in the fellowship. Pray that they will come to the Lord soon.
Average attendance is about 30-40 people every week.
Vietnamese group
Continue to pray that Pastor Joseph and his family's will come back soon.(coming over is smooth with all the details workout)
Due to the festive season and both pastors back to Vietnam for the Chinese New Year celebration, the attendance rate have been fluctuating. Pray that the attendance will be back to normal
We have Samuel from Vietnam who will be with us for 2-3 months. He will be assisting Pastor Binh to strengthen the mature believers in serving. Pray for their visa clearance during this period of time.
Organizing a reach out to unbelievers in Flexitech in Meru on 22 Feb. Pray for God's touch
We have non believer ladies from Pangsapuri who occasionally join in the service but due to the heavy influence of their living community, we have not been able to reach out to them. Pray for breakthrough in that area and for God to touch their hearts
Praise God that brother Quynh who has accepted the Lord last week. He had a bad accident 5 years ago and have been having pain on his left eye. Please pray for him to grow in faith and experience God's healing
Pray for more committed volunteers from various cell groups from participating churches
Myanmar group (2 groups)
Myanmar group - Pastor Gloria Grace
Praise God she has adjusted well
We thank God that we now have 9 new non believers in the church. Pray for God to touch their hearts
Chin tribe group - Pastor Kap Te
Praise God that he will be permanently serving with us. Pray for smooth adjustment from KL to Klang
Indonesia (Batak group)
Continue to pray for God's wisdom and guidance as the Batak group is going through some changes
Pray that they will have wider vision of reaching not only the Batak but the whole Indonesian community in Malaysia
Average attendance is about 50-70 every week. Pray for Pas. Rumitha and her team in the ministry
